Kris Donhowe is a Product Architecture Lead at Renew Home, focused on building customer-centered, intelligent products that help households use energy more efficiently and support the grid through automation and insights.
Prior to Renew Home, Kris was a technical lead and manager at Google, where he led energy intelligence for Nest Renew and co-invented Energy Shift. Before Google, he was at Tesla, where he led software development for the first two Supercharger generations. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Kris lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, two kids, and dog, and when they’re not camping or backpacking, he turns their home into a living lab for energy-efficiency and electrification projects.
