Amena H. Saiyid

Amena H. Saiyid is an award-winning journalist who has covered energy, environment and climate change in the United States for over two decades. Her work has appeared in Cipher News, Inkstick Media, Bloomberg Industry Group and S&P Global. Her reporting has taken her across the corridors of Washington D.C. and across the United States, the Middle East and South Asia, dispatching news about water scarcity in Florida and Nevada, solar use in a Pennsylvania’s small town and Pakistan’s remote mountainous region and a novel carbon storage approach in UAE’s arid coastal regions. She also served as a congressional fellow in the U.S. Senate.

A first-generation Virginian, she loves photographing trees and sunsets and lives walking distance from the Potomac River in Leesburg.
